 APD Sunday started promptly at 9AM with no time runs. Most of The Lone Star Summer Shootout racers travel to make the annual event and staff wanted to get racers home at a decent time on Sunday night. Michael Pennington defeated fellow Texas racer, Casey Swift in the final of APD Sunday. Pennington was dialed 4.94 against Swift’s 5.17, both were .023 on the tree and Swift forfeited the win when he ran a 5.141 on his 5.17 dial. Pennington ran dead on the dial with a 4.947. Hughes Converters kicked in an additional $1,000 for the quarter finalists (Kenneth Hillin, Brian Nelson, and Jake Howard). Kenneth Hillin was our Lucas Oil Exclusive 32 No Box Champion on Sunday and took the victory over Jesse Cervantes. The 5th Annual event is the first to award racers with even more ways to win with best losing packages presented in rounds one through six in APD Sunday Super Pro class and rounds one through four in the Lucas Oil Exclusive 32 class.
